Ingredients for Tres Leches Cake Recipe

  • 5 eggs
  • 6 tablespoons of sugar
  • 7 tablespoons flour
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 1 packet vanillin

Caramel:

  • 1 tea cup of sugar
  • 2 spoonful butter
  • 1 package of cream

Syrup:

  • 2 glasses of cow’s milk
  • 1 glass of goat’s milk
  • 1 glass of buffalo milk
  • 1 cup sugar

How to Make Tres Leches Cake?

  1. Add the egg and sugar into a deep mixing bowl and beat until the sugars are melted, the color of the mixture becomes light and the cream becomes thick.
  2. Add flour, baking powder and vanilla into the egg mixture.
  3. With the help of the spatula, mix continuously until it is homogenous.
  4. Pour the blended cake mixture into your oiled oven tray and straighten it.
  5. First bake the cake for 10 minutes in an oven heated to 170 degrees, then reduce the heat to 150 degrees and cook for 20-25 minutes.
  6. Let the cooked sponge cake cool down at room temperature and poke holes with a toothpick.
  7. For milky syrup; put the cow milk, buffalo milk and goat milk into a pot; add the sugar and stir until melt. After starting to boil, reduce the heat and let it warm.
  8. For caramel; dissolve the sugar in a separate saucepan, add the butter on it. Add the cream on the buttery sugar while bubbling, and let it cool down.
  9. Add the warm milky syrup over the sponge cake. After absorbing the syrup, let it cool down in the refrigerator.
    10. Prepare a package of whipped cream.
  10. Spread the cream on your cake in a thin layer.
  11. After spreading the caramel on the cake, slice and serve as cold.
