Everyone needs a key fob and we are all using this small but essential thing! Here is how to make it at home as easy as possible. It just takes half an hour to make your own vintage wool key fob. You can also make it as a gift for holidays, for Christmas and etc. Never forget that handmade gifts are always better for your family members or your friends and really fun. So, lets start to make it up!

Here is all you need:

  • Cotton Webbing 1.25″ ( you can get four key fobs out of a yard)
  • Fabric Scraps
  • Double Sided Stitch Witchery or Basting Spray
  • Key Fob Hardware
  • Sewing Machine and Thread
  • Scissors
  • Ruler and Marking Pen
  • Iron
  • Hammer

Step 1: Get your ingredients and start with cutting webbing to 9″. Also, cut the fabric to 2″x9″.

Step 2: At this point, you need to iron your fabric. Before ironing, fold under a half inch to the back side of your fabric down one side and then apply the same with the other side. The piece should be 1″x9″.

Step 3: There you can use double sided stitch witchery sandwiched in between the webbing and the fabric and iron. Otherwise, in order to stick it on to the webbing back of the fabric can also be sprayed with basting spray and can be sticked on in this way.

Step 4: Then it’s ready to for stitching. It needs to be sewed close to the edge of the fabric. After stitching one side, pivot it and stitch across the bottom and then stitch up the other side. Then crop threads.
