The most important thing to watch out while doing makeup for evening is not to highlight eyes and lips at the same time. Whether you have dinner at a restaurant or go to a wedding ceremony, you should not overdue it and it is better if you draw attention to one point. Dark eye makeup and a striking lipstick together will make you look exhausting and create an image away from beauty.
Step 1: Primer
When doing a night makeup, always use a face primer. Active hours spent under lights will reduce the lastingness of your makeup bu half. Therefore, use a face primer that fits your skin before starting your evening makeup. If your skin is oily, take care to choose matt bases. On the contrary, if you have dry skin moisturizing bases will give your skin a healty glow and also prevent your foundation from flake off later at night.
Step 2: Foundation
When applying night makeup, take care of choosing a long lasting foundation. Make sure it is a foundation you’ve tried before. Don’t let an exfoliating or oily foundation to ruin your special night.
Select your foundation in medium concealment level. Heavily thick foundations will look like a mask on your face and overshadow your makeup. Furthermore, applying your foundation with a foundation brush will increase the concealment.
Step 3: Concealer
Apply your concealer around your eyes. It will also be the base for your eyeshadow. If you have dark under-eye circles, you should try an under-eye concealer instead of a basic one. In case you have uneven blemishes and dark spots on your face, apply the concealer locally and tap with a concealer brush or sponge after waiting for a while.
Step 4: Powder
When doing a night makeup, one of the most important steps is to fix your makeup. As a final setting use a translucent powder for your face and eye contour. If your skin is dry, you can skip this step.
Step 5: Eyeshadow
Two eyeshadows, one black and the other one is your choice will highlight your eyes and will save you in any place with every dress. Before starting your makeup, apply some light-colored eyeshadow or a base to your eyelid. You can use the colors brown, grey or dusty-rose for your medium shade.
Use a flat brush to pat this color from your lash line to your crease. Then contour your eyelid with a dome brush using your black eyeshadow. You can also use eyeliner instead. Blend along the edges of your shadow with a clean and soft brush. As last step, use a black eye pencil to add a bottom lash line starting at the outside corner to the inside corner.
Step 6: Mascara
Curl your eyelashes and apply your mascara. You can also apply false eyelashes to emphasize your eye makeup.
Step 7: Contour
When doing a night makeup you can contour your face darker in comparison to daily makeup. Apply your contour at the top of your forehead, to the both sides of your nose, on your cheeks, along your jawline and to the tip of your chin. In this way, your face will look thinner and you will look much better in the photos.
Step 8: Lipstick
We mentioned above that you should highlight only one part of your face in night makeup. When you emphasize your eyes in a night makeup you should prefer nude tones. Furthermore, you can add a sparkling effect to your night makeup with a lip gloss.
