A good pair of jeans is a good investment in your wardrobe. In order to maintain its form and last longer, you should not treat it like an ordinary fabric. Therefore, it is useful to know some details about how to look after your jeans.

Step 1- Jeans will fit your form better at first six months. So, if you wear it without washing for a few months, it will adopt your body gently. When you wash it quickly, it will lose the shape.
Step 2- Today, jeans come out of factory prewashed and they are not raw for this reason. So, you don’t have to wait for six months. You can wash your denim earlier. However, experts say that it is better to wash your jeans as rare as possible.
Step 3- Before washing your jean, you can hang it in the bathroom and benefit from the steam. Another option is freezing your jeans. You can put your jean in a bag and keep it in the freezer. Freezing your jeans will kill a huge amount of bacteria.
Step 4- If you want to prevent your jeans from discolouring, wash it gently in the laundry machine with cold water or hand wash your jeans with sensitive liquid wool detergent. If you want to make your jeans a little bit pale, you can wash it in hot water for once.
Step 5- Turn your jeans inside out before washing, in order to prevent any damage.
Step 6- When washing your dark denim in the laundry machine, you can add half cup of white vinegar during last rinse.
Step 7- If you will dry your jeans in a tumble dryer, do it at the lowest temperature. And take it out of machine before your denim gets completely dry. Finally, hang it upside down for air drying.
Step 8- How to fold your jeans? Spread over your denim on a flat surface. Fold in half from left to right. Then hold it from legs and fold in half. So, the legs will be aligned with the belt. Once again double the legs in half.
Step 9- Another important point, denim fibres need to breathe. Do never pile up folded denims tightly or hang them in a crowded wardrobe.
Step 10- Is your denim very tight? After washing, hang it from belt hangers. Then stretch it by the waistbands while it is still dampish. You can also use a hair dryer or a steam iron for extra stretching.
