DIY: How to Make a Pencil Pouch in 15 minutes

  • Printed cotton fabric
  • 7 inch zipper
  • Fusible interfacing
  • Suede card
  • Sewing machine
  • Scissors

1-Cut your fabrics and interfacing at 8.5 inches wide x 5.5 inches tall.

2-Iron on the interfacing to the back side of your fabric.

3-Lay the right side of one fabric and place the zipper. Pin and sew the zipper on fabric.

4-Take the other piece of fabric and lay the fabric and zipper face down onto the fabric on the right side.

5-Sew the zipper on the fabric by using regular zipper foot.

6-Sew top side of zipper to secure.

7-Unzip the zipper until half and sew the other three part together by leaving 3 cm seam allowance.

8-Trim the edges.

9-Pull the fabric out.

10-Place suede cord to zipper pull.
