  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 tea cup of water
  • 1.5 cups of flour

  • 1 packet of baking powder

  • 3 cups of milk
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 2 tablespoons wheat starch
  • 1 packet of vanilla


  • 2 packs of powdered cream
  • 2 cups of cold milk

How to Make a Banana Roll Cake?

  1. Whisk the egg and sugar with the help of a mixer until it becomes creamy to prepare the sponge cake.
  2. After adding water and vanilla, keep whisking. Then, add the sifted flour and baking powder, and whisk again.
  3. Pour the sponge cake mixture to the baking tray covered with baking paper, and fix it with a spatula. Bake in a preheated 180 degree oven for 15 minutes.
  4. For the cream of the cake, add the milk, sugar, flour, wheat starch and vanilla into a pot. Cook until thickened in a medium heat by stirring with a whisk.
  5. For the topping, after whisking powdered cream with cold milk, let it cool in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
  6. Let the cooked sponge wait into the oven for 10 minutesafter turning down the heat, and then remove it from the oven.
  7. Spread the prepared warm cream with a spatula. Place the bananas as a whole in the middle of the cake.
  8. Carefully wrap the sponge into a roll, separating it from the baking paper. Roll the prepared pastry into the serving dish by covering it with whipped cream. Sprinkle the powdered pistachios.
  9. Let it wait at least 5-10 minutes in the refrigerator and then serve by slicing.
